Demetria Stuart

Demetria E. Stuart was born and raised in Winston -Salem, North Carolina. Demetria comes to Guirguis Law with experience in the areas of family law and criminal defense. Prior to joining Guirguis Law, she worked for Donna Ambler Davis P.C. in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she provided legal assistance in the areas of family law including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, and post-separation support. Demetria developed a passion for criminal defense while working as an Associate Attorney at Diener Law P.A. in Mount Olive, North Carolina. While at Diener Law, she advocated for a number of underrepresented clients in the areas of traffic violations, misdemeanors, felonies and immigration matters. Being the first attorney in her immediate family, Demetria considers it an honor to be able to serve the needs of the others and to be a voice for those who feel as though their voice has been silenced.

Demetria earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University in May 2011. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the North Carolina Central University School of Law in May 2015. While in law school, Demetria was a member of the Christian Legal Society and also participated in the Family Law Clinic where she counseled and advised pro bono clients in the areas of family law including, but not limited to, child custody and child support. Demetria Stuart is currently a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina State Bar Association and its Family Law Section, and the 10th Judicial District Bar.

In her free time, Demetria enjoys reading, singing, shopping, and enjoying quality time with her fiancé Andre.
