R. Eric Morin II, or just Eric, works both in Federal compassionate release and State post-conviction relief. He is excited to be a member of the Guirguis Law team. Additionally, he is a recent graduate of the JD program at Campbell University School of Law. Most recently, he fulfilled the role of Intern with Turner Law Office and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. In this capacity, he was accountable for researching civil forfeiture, reviewing trial transcripts from Immigration Court, and facilitating the composition and editing of trial briefs. Furthermore, he liaised with senior leadership and departmental teams to ensure the support structure of each organization was driving profess forward with minimal expenditures. Before achieving my Juris Doctorate, He earned a bachelor's degree cum laude in Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University with a minor in mathematics. Eric describes himself as a history nerd and a language nerd, utilizing his free time to learn about both. He is also a proud Eagle Scout.
